Just thought people might want to look at the new Jayco Eagle Outback.

We are waiting for ours to be delivered. The dealer sent us these photos. So we know what it will look like, as this is one of the first.

A breadmaker would make your camping an aven more delightful experience LOL.

Still, you're not soft, you like hard camping. Why the need for the Eagle LOL

Jimbo,
You must love your bread!
When travelling through Europe 20 years ago we drove through a small village and saw an old lady taking loaves out of an outdoor woodfired kiln. We bought a couple of her and it was absoloutley beaut. Except I needed a chunk of butter to melt through it.
By the way, what does the LOL mean?

Robert

We recently traded our 2004 model Jayco Finch Out Back on a new caravan
with a reputable dealer on the Gold Coast, after a couple of months of looking
at vans in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast,
We not only got the caravan we wanted, we also got a good deal as well,
re: price and trade in,
From speaking to several dealers over a period of time, we got the same
comment about the latest Jayco Out Back series with the (Moulded Boot Ends
and the Moulded Rear End) HAIR LINE CRACKING were appearing in some
units,
The Jayco we traded had a vinyl boot end and pressed aluminium rear end,
so they were not trying to screw us with the trade in valuation.
I am not trying to rain on your parade, but make further enquires, may be
the Members are aware of the same problem, or could give advice.

Cheers
Daza

Hey Robert & Jayco owners,
Go to the Jayco website www.jayco.com.au/ and click on New 360˚ tour of the Jayco of your choice. Awesome!
We took delivery of our new Finch early Dec. 06. Traded our Jayco Sprite poptop so we can go more out of way places. Previously had a little old 2nd hand Jayco (also wind-up) that we took on dirt roads in the Territory & SA without a prob. Trust this one will prove as good.
cheers

Have to agree with Dazza the best thing we did was sell our wind up campers for a caravan, I see them as a very expensive tent on wheels, you still sleep under canvas or vinyl and in bad weather the bed ends get wet and crawling around on all fours to pack it in the garage is for the birds. Just our experence.

Robert, I could not see a rear bumper bar with a spare wheel carrier on it.

Will it have one on delivery? I purchased a new Jayco Hawk Outback last July. It has only done one trip to the Riverland in Vic (Cohuna) to an ex Army mates place, but will be going to Tassie for a month at the end of May. Can't wait!!

Looks great mate, Good Luck

I noticed that the spare wheel now bolts onto the van itself. I was un aware of this when we put down the deposit.
But I'm pretty handy with a welder.

We are selling our 2005 Outback Finch and are yet undecided on a replacement. When we enquired about the new fibreglass one, they could not tell us if it will be lighter/heavier, or if a few little quality issues had been addressed.

I suspect they will be heavier. I also suspect they will be made just as poorly as ever.

I have now had 2 Jayco's and am annoyed that they seem to be pumping them out with no willingness to address customer complaint/advice.

I have heard all this before. But going through old forums on pop tops of all brands, there are some faults with all of them.
I bought the Jayco as people I know and what I have read in the forums. As someone stated previously, That the Jayco is the better of a bad thing.
If that makes sense.
If it all goes pear shaped, they seem to have a good resale value.
Good luck with whatever you decide to buy.
