We are just giving the rest of the world a false sense of security before a major event such as the world cup. If we kept on winning no one would turn up to play, let alone watch it. ha ha ha ha ha

OI! Just 'cause you have both cicadas AND stink beetles there in Alice, doesn't give you free reign to bleat, Woolly.
(BTW. In lay-down missaire, [and I've never had need to spell that death-knell term [borrowed from the French, I presume, so please correct me] before.
We have Cicadas and Black Ants (ad infinitum)
You have Cicadas and Stink Bugs (ad nauseum).

Hairy, the pot is yours: and may the pestilence soon pass. Rude off.

Possibly not Hairy, (x2).
I feel that it may have been an oblique reference to those creatures designed to plague us on a rhythmic schedule: such creatures include cicadas, black ants, arrogant 'sportsmen'/play boys, and stink bugs.
The ants are a nuisance, but your stink bugs really do take the cake. You win the lottery, so the pot is yours.
(Perhaps the tinnitus is rather worse than I'd realised.) Stay sane, Hairy. Jeff.

If I remember correctly, during discussions on federation in thelate 1800s, NZ was going to be another australasian state, they may have thought they would have been first, but we know it would have No 7. Just to put it in perspective, I think Fiji was being considered No 8. Now wouldn't have that spoiled all the fun we have today . :o)

Geoff,

Grey hair is hereditary, you get it from children. Baldness is caused by watching the Wallabies.

LOL Nissnut, they're all in denial. You can only beat the team that turns up against you.

Well done Kiwis, you were definitely the better team in all three games (as were the Poms in the previous two).

OUCH !!!! That hurt but I'm over it now.

Be gentle on Oneself, my Friend: in time, time heals all.
I have an image that many of you may remember, (Clipped from the 'Australian' maybe), some years ago. It shows our "Sporting Icons/Heroes" at some sacred spot, wearing not only Slouch hats, but also a moderately restricted insignia on the upturned edge of the hat.
So what has happened to those who actually perform/ed under that symbol?
My friends, you will possibly never know. But in recognition of these people, my signature image (God willing), is soon to change. Jeff H.
Cynic. huh?? wotever

Sometimes I don't know what paddock to jump into though. I draw swords and start fighting with myself, that's duel citizenship for you.

I had a gut feeling that there was something funny about you, Nissnut.............LOL

Ahh, tis but a cycle we are going through. A bit boring if you win all the time. It will atke another 4 years to build iup a a top team again now that the big names have retired.

Good on ya, Kiwi's

Ummmm, you going HOME again Nissnut, or just overstaying your visa like 100,000 others?........LOL

Well done Kiwis I say. Surely I am not the only one sick of the snotty, sledging,
we are the greatest, whingeing Ozzie cricketers of late. One Day stuff is barely
entertainment any more, let alone sport. Lets hope the ARU can stop fiddling
around long enough to get the right Wallaby team to the World Cup though & we
just might turn the tables :0) ...oldbaz.

Yeah we'll throw a team together for the Rugby nissnut. Personally I'm not worried about the All Blacks and the world cup coz everyone knows they're gonna CHOKE!!

The All Blacks always play good BEFORE the world cup! :-P

Scoey,

Ssssshhhh ...... we were saving the 'chokers' tag up. The All Blacks are world beaters UNTIL the World Cup. Then they're just there to make up the numbers (like Canada, Fiji, Japan, etc etc etc) hahahahahahahaha
