I have just orderd a set of 2" raised rear king springs for my 90 surf will be winding up front torsion bars as well. it was cheaper to do this than a body lift $150 for rear springs or about $200 for body blocks bolts and brackets there is going to be some rancho shocks down the road a bit when i get some more cash

I'm no expert on Hiluxs, but i'm fairly sure if you raise them 2" you need longer travel shocks aspecially in the rear.

The Rancho RS 5208 Rear shocks fit are 2'' + longer and give the rear lots more wheel travel. Also when you wind up the front go just over half way between the bump stops, it works better with the same upwards and downward travel. If you wind them up HIGH to look good you get no downward travel and the tyres are allways off the track, A EZ locker in the front makes a BIG difference also.

I bought 500mm of 50mm dia alloy rod $35, drilled 10mm hole through the guts, chopped it up into 30mm blocks, bought some xtra long 8.8grade bolts and locknuts $30, and theres your bodylift kit. I also used 5mm rubber washers, which gets rid of any jarring vibrations through the cab. Then a 2" spring lift.Which accomodates for 33" tyres. Awesome.

I can`t see how people can charge $200 for a body lift kit . Absolute rip off.
