Thanks Pedro,
Already tried that. the only answer seems to be a faulty controller

Q.) The Display shows "PL".
A.) The Prodigy® detected a power loss on the Black wire during a braking event. Possible Causes:
· Applied brake pedal or manual lever while connecting Prodigy to power.
· Poor connection on Black wire.
· Faulty control.
Hi
Roland
Prodigy units don't just fail. The black wire is (+) and must be connected to the battery. Don't use a ignition wire. Also you need a good earth and if you check the they recommend a earth back to the battery, don't use the body for a earth.
Also what fuse are you using and could it be loose or faulty. I have seen many cracked breakers cause these type of faults.
Regards
Derek.

G'Day Derek,
Was going to phone you tomorrow.
Have a 20 amp auto reset breaker, bypassed this and used 25 amp fuse - no difference
But back on breaker, checked meter at joins - all reading 12.6V
Earth is to metal behind dash - will try earthing back to battery in the morning to see if it makes a difference
Thanks

I'm sure the earth will fix the problem. Tekonsha make a big point of the earthing requirement.

Derek.

G'Day Derek,
Problem found.
Red wire form controller wired to wrong side of brake switch, which would explain the "PL" fault. Controller thought brakes were engaged when power plugged in.
Appreciate your reply
