Radiator Hose Won't Fit-Bugga

Was with a group thru the Watagans over the weekend. One of the guys blew a rad. hose- no probs. he's got a spare. Got out the spare hose that'd been in his vehicle for a couple of years. Went to fit it-BUGGA- WRONG HOSE...Luckily someone else had another hose & with a bit of hacking and twisting managed to get him out of trouble. Same day- another group- a guy had buckled one of his snazzy alloy rims. Went to change it- BUGGA-has left wheel nut lock key at home.

Moral to this story-with Autumn just a few days away- we're all planning for out annual trips. Do a check list of spares, equipment, tools etc and ensure the spares you've got fit your vehicle. Any special tools required for aftermarket accessories?? Allen key for RoofRack clamps?? KeyLock for wheel nuts (or change to standard before the trip)..
Try out the new 'toys' (eg hilift jack, air jack, compressor, tyre change gear) in the backyard before you venture into the wilderness. Is the winch OK?? Run it in and out a few times- under load- to ensure all working.

Anyone else anything to add would be most welcome !!!!!!!!!!
