What differences are there 'twixt 2.8 GU brakes and the 4.8 GU brakes? I know the 4.8 brakes are "twin pot" calipers but what else is different?

The brakes on my ex-2.8 GUChevissan are okaaaayyyy - but after driving a 4.8 petrol the other day, the brakes on that were far superior. Will the 4.8 brakes bolt straight on to the 2.8?

G'day Bilbo,
I doubt the 4.8's brake calipers would swap straight over, but would imagine that if you wanted to go to the expense of replacing the whole lot (rotors etc), that it may work.
I've been contemplating fitting DBA slotted rotors as a bloke I know has them on his 80 series that wears 35" rubber and he reckons they pull him up MUCH better.
I've just got to try and work out what's the difference between DBA's various codes of rotors (4000, 5000 etc)
Cheers mate
