I bought a Digitor 17" lcd for my caravan and wish to use a wall bracket on the back. I need to remove the stand. The guys at Dick Smith could'nt help, they said leav it on which makes it a bit impractical to swing around with a daggy stand hanging from it. Anyone got an isea hoe they come off?

The Palsonic I purchased for our Van had two screws on the back fixing the stand, When the stand was removed the screw holes lined up with pre drilled holes on a wall bracket I brought. Ended up not using the wall bracket because it did not really fit where we wanted to install it and I was concerned how it would travel permanently attached to the caravan wall. Our caravan TV is now "free range" in that we can shift it around to suit our purposes in and out of the caravan and in the house. Sorry , did not really answer your question.

The stand must come off I would have thought, they don't usually ship LCD's with stands attached, perhaps that has changed nowdays. No idea with Digitor, isn't that a Dick Smith brand..?? Can you see any screws..??

Should be four screws if it was meant to come off. They are usually made with 75mm or 100mm centres and often both.

It also could have keyed holes like a computer monitor.

Boatman, if the stand has no visible attachment, it may require you to remove the back cover from the unit. The screws may be behind it.

If it's moulded from one piece, you could get yourself a Dremel and cut it off/polish out any evidence..... I have a Dremel and it's a magic bit of kit :-)
