I have installed my 900xs that are waterproof.
The lights are connected with 'click in' connectors. I would assume that as these are not waterproof (simple lug in connextors), and they are at the same height as the lights. Is there any special way to waterproof them?
Cheers
Dave

It shouldn't matter if the connections get wet, You won't have your lights on when you do a
water crossing.
And if it's dark enough to need your lights on you should not attempt a
water crossing.

I think Narva sell waterproof connectors or you could solder the wires and then cover with heatshrink.

Was given a good hint by a trailer manufacturer to assist further...use PVC glue to coat the soldered join before you shink the heatshrink.
Havent tried it myself but that was for a boat trailer with LED lights to seal it and NEVER have to touch it again?
Might be worth trying sometime!!

But really apart from boat trailers which spend a fair bit of time submerged under
water how much
water proofing do you really need................................I keep picturing the James Bond car!

Nah no submarine campers here, just more for longetivity. You know with LEDs you supposedly never have to touch them again, so the only weak point would be the wiring that could corrode over time.
Might as
well seal it up and never let that
water in, just one task you dont have to attend to.

If I remember rightly, those click connectors only supply the "on/off" power to the relay, not the power that runs the lights themselves. It shouldn't need to be waterproof.
That's how my IPF900XS on GU Patrol are wired.
