Hi Has anyone fitted one of the wheel carriers sold on ebay that fit directly to body of vehicle. The seller claims that there are mounts already in body that they bolt straight onto. I am just a little concerned about the weight on the shell.

Hi,I too was concerned and removed the tail light assembly to have a look,could not find any mountings.I would be interested to know if they supply some sort of curved backing/support plates in their installation kit. I should add however that there has been extensive repairs done to my 100's rear right corner where the carrier attaches, so i'm not sure that mine might still be the standard issue (would be interested to know that too ) . Thanks

Came as a standard feature in some countries , but not sure if reo brackets are there in Aussie models

Bought one off ebay for the 80series , had the "fitting" instuctions emailed to me ,not real flash or in any real detail ,just a bunch of photos ,,, was told captive nuts in tailgate / extra bracing above and below r/hand tail light ,,, OOPS ,,none of it exists in mine so have not fitted it yet and probably will not , you can have it for $150 +freight from Brisbane Nth side.
