Mays Bend Camping spot 18 kms north of Bourke.

Has anyone stayed here ?
We were planning on stopping here after visiting Dubbo Zoo and before heading to the Wilcannia-Menindee area.

We thought this may be a nice place to stop by the riverside for a night unless anyone else has an alternative.

Time frame..the week before Easter.

Thanks

Yep - stayed a few nights a couple of years ago. Nice spot, but get out quick if it looks like rain (or be prepared to stay a while!)

Stayed a week 3 yrs ago. Top spot, no rubbish idyllic next to the river with good fishing.
Moose is spot on, if it looks like rain get out, or you will be there for a loooong while. Is 100% black spoil and not even Mad Max messes with wet black soil. A few drops of rain is sufficient to stop you dead for a few days.

Great Spot, we were there a few months ago, ..... only one - problem - there were a lot of burrs and bindies etc ... the dogs were not very happy ! Otherwise a top area.

Thanks res.q.guy.

Sounds like tarps under the swags, shoes at all times and if it looks like rain p.o.q.
in otherwords common things when camping.

Thanks guys for your input
