A couple f days ago I read on one of the many great 4x4 forums we all visit, about a website that listed cars that required drivers to drive them from one city to the next.
I 'thought' it was here
I have looked
I have used 'search' function
Can't find it - anyone able to point me in the rught direction for URL???

These sound great in principal, but usually are bound up with ugly terms and conditions.
Firstly, I suspect they "bait and switch"... their most attractive offers are always sold when you call up.
Secondly, they have absurd stuff like not travel between sunset and sunrise.
Lastly, tell them what you are interested in, and they start calling up with other offers which are significantly more expensive.
I think it is largely a scam.

Hi Kiwi - Minor diversion from what you are asking but
"A couple of days ago I read on one of the many great 4x4 forums we all visit...."
I reckon many of us would be interested in a a list of such forums, as we don't actually know many... just a few.
As a start there's the Troopy one at Yahoo:
autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/troopyoz/
Can we between us assemble a list?

On another site I saw a section called "The neighbours" (Or something like that), where other sites of interest could be posted. This sounds something like John is suggesting. Prehaps something similar could be started here
