I have found a safe, dry, unexposed place to hide/store the spare key.

It is easily accessible and does not have to be tied or taped to anything.

My sincerest thanks to a Nissan Genius here on the forum.

Cheers

Nup! you are all wrong.

Its fool proff actually - Willem is going to have a key cut for each door lock, then superglue the key into the said lock so that no one can steal the subject keys and he will always have a spare.

Totally revolutionary and inovative, not to mention sneaky.

Sounds like an idea coming from an early morning Lemonade drinker...lol

Maybe a box full of keys welded to the trailer might be an idea.......

I doubt if the genius would want to take a retrograde step back to a GQ. But then again, I now where where his/her key is kept, so if I ever feel the urge to upgrade to a 3 litre.....you never know.....:-)

Ya know, when the 'Cruiser was stolen and I went out and bought that Nissan body shell, the above "jests" about "no-one wants to steal a Nissan" was one of the supporting reasons why I did what I did.

Toyota GXL 100 series are "sexy looking" - people want 'em. Nissans aren't sexy, ,,,,,,,only serious 4WDers want 'em. And serious 4WD people don't steal other peoples 4WDs.

There's a grain of truth in those jests, I reckon, Willem.

You can stop with the 50 questions, folks. Willem has given you the clues.
He doesn't have to sit on it.
Its not on or in his hat.
Nor does he walk on it.
He can't forget it.
It's in a safe and dry place in a Nissan (hmm...can't be too many of those) and
The 3L Nissan has the same facility.

The big question is whether pinching his vehicle is worth getting shot at.

My 80 series definitely is.
I'll even tell you where the key is kept...on ME !
Being the povo pack you can't lock the front doors without it. No fancy remote control buttons , power windows, electric seat warmers or go faster bits under the hood.
And if you steal mine, be ready for a very slow get away because it doesn't have a turbo. The cops will catch you even if they're on foot.
Do not pass or go
Go directly to jail (in today's justice system you'll probably get referred to a shrink. "What on earth possessed you to steal that model ?..they they'll probably pay for a taxi home for you.")
But a word of warning to potential thieves..if you find my pride and joy, I'll find you!!
Been there, done that. And the thief found that I know more than one way to skin a ......well you know what I mean :)))))

Arpynoon Willem,

I'm told that there is a MONSTER prize for the first person to correctly guess your secret hidey hole.....is that true?

Could be in the bottle of 'white lightning'.......no sane person would look there..LOL LOL

BTW, in a post some while ago did you not say that you always left your keys in the ignition?

Cheers
Michael

He does normally leave the keys in the ignition...........BUT he was visiting the Riverland; an area known to be inhabited by a bunch of nancy-boy wanna-bees who own Toyotas (but dream of one day stepping UP into a Nissan)....hahaha.

As such, it was too risky for him to even remotely consider the possibility of leaving the keys in the ignition, for had he done so, the vehicle would have been quickly spirited away and firmly ensconsed in the driveway of a certain EO member who is not sure whether he's important or impotent......hahaha

S'pose you are right Roachie, the Nissan is 'nice and basic' now......no spotties/no roof rack/no winch/no wide tyres etc etc and would just lend itself to being 'tarted up'......lol lol

Mr Roach, I can assure you that the Riverland is a very safe place to park your vehicles with the likes of Mr Garbutt protecting us. And you are correct, absolutely NO-ONE in posession of their full mental faculties would have any desire to steal let alone buy one of those things that you brag about driving.
