Hi
I have trolled the site looking for ideas on replacement tyres for my 2003 LS Challenger. The original GO39's are just about fininshed at 60,000. My off road driving is mainly sand, Fraser Island, In-Skip Point and I tow a camper trailer so I'm looking for a more agressive tread pattern than the Geolanders.
Current tyre size is 255/70 R16. I'm leaning toward either the Toyo Open Country AT or the BF Goodridge AT's.
Really appreciate your opinions on any suitable tyres.

Hi Lockey,
I went with Pirelli Scorpions which are an AT tyre for my replacements on my Frontera. These vehicles are similar enough in size mass etc.
I have been very impressed with their ability in any condition I have put it to so far.
That's been bitumen, dirt (loose and bulldust), sand (but not beach) and black soil.
I don't use this car for rough rock work though as I use my Patrol for that and it has Falkens on it. They have been getting a bit chopped by the rocks lately but what can you expect? Also they have been getting staked a bit easier than I would have thought. I had Geo's before the Falkens and they were quite noisy but otherwise ok.
The Pirellis are very
well priced too.
Cheers Cam

We have an LS Challenger and are happy with the Coopers AT - on our second set now no problems and a good price too.

It looks like Cooper T/A's on 16's is the go.
How does millage compare?
Local dealer recons 100,000 on BFG's no problem.
