Hi Mate

Im thinking of buying the Garmin Quest. I know you have one so you would be the best person to answer my question.

I saw your demo here a while back and since then I have thought about buying the quest.

Can you tell me how it performs in the city and country areas. It wont be used for off road as I cant imagine my coaster appreciating that lol.

Can you also tell me if it is a sirf 111 unit.
Many thanks

Peter

It performs as I have always said, perfect,In the city it is spot on , as you cross and Intersection the cursor is right there , It does have a field setting that shows accuracy and most times it is around the 5m or 8m, In the country you will notice it will have some old roads that no longer exist so if you want to believe in any GPS 100% then just go driving across some farmers crop or through the scrub, I would say it is 99% perfect,It does have many bush tracks that are not on some of the other brands,as for sirfIII I would presume not but the Nuvi 660 does, Is it Important, I would not think so, You also get the City Nav' CD which is fantastic on the PC , Some people say the screen is too small, I will agree with that , so if you want a GPS that does what a Quest will do plus more with a bigger screen then get a Garmin GPS Map 276C , That will be my next choice when I get the next Garmin
