According to an interview on ABC Radio early this morning with the owner of Kalamurina Station(Northern South Australia), waters from Goyder Lagoon are now flowing in to Lake Eyre as of yesterday. No one seems to know whether there is enough water to cover the whole of the salt lake. It will depend on winds and how quick evaporation takes place.

Cheers

Unfortunately, with the small flow as it is, it may only lie for 3 or 4 weeks...

It will never be visible from Level Post Bay or Halligans Bay, so it would be impossible to see it without doing a plane flight.

A trip out to Kalamurina and camping down the Warburton towards Lake Eyre might be pretty good though. And I'd guess that Kallakoopah Ck may have water again.

Hello Phil and Mrs Phil, we'll be in Birdsville from end of May for a couple of months and will be going to have a look - think how marvellous the Desert is going to be this year. We should have lots of fun poking around there. Hope we see you as well.

Hey Ruth, lovely to hear from you and I'm sure everyone here hopes that you're adjusting to the busy pace of "retirement" and the hustle and bustle of the east coast! I saw on your profile that you're updating to a 70series farm truck and towing a Taj Mahal. I assume that's imported from India, and is a copy, not the real thing :-))) Hope you'll still be able to make it to Warraweena in July.

Yep we will most certainly be at Warraweena in July - we'll be towing the Taj Mahal (of camper trailers) so you will see it. I thought you saw it in Birdsville, - but not up. So big we could host the whole Warraweena party inside on a rainy night? (Well nearly). And yes about the new Ute - we are 26th on the list after they come out. Got the Toshiba laptop, got the digital camera, next the Garmin! Can almost do the rig photos and post them now (almost).

Tis true.
Saw it from the air, but not yesterday, rather it was already flowing in on Tuesday...
