In the simplest of terms, can someone tell me how to post a
pic in a thread please?
Don't know any jargon, so please don't use any!
" For images: img src=" domain.com/image_path" " means absolutely nothing to me!
Fizz.

Even though I don't know a lot about these things I'll have a shot at it Fizz.....
Firstly, the picture has to exist somewhere on the Web because all you're doing is essentially creating link that will display it in a post. I put my pics into a website called photbucket but any similar website will do.
Then what I do is copy the guff next to the "For images" into my post and substitue the bit in the inverted comma's with the URL link that photbucket gives me for the image I want to display. Photobucket (and I imagine all other similar programs) actually give you the bit you type in depending on whether you wnat to post the actual phot or a link or whatever.
So it hopefully comes out like...
Now on re-reading that I think I wasn't actually that clear! I really hopes that helps even a little bit! :-S
Cheers
Scoey!
PS If the
pic didn't work then, yep I'm a dill! haha!

I think Fizz wants to be able to submit images, ie upload them, rather than create a link to an existing image on the web (whether photobucket or other).

As I understand it, images such as Scoey's which appear here in posts are not actually held on this site - there is a link to them here, not the actual image file.
One way (the only way?) of having the file itself on this site is to add it to your "Members profile and gallery" where you can have up to 12 images, a thumbnail size one is added to your signature (like below - Troopy in the Simpson). Members may add an image from their gallery to a post, e.g.

John,
The only drawback to using images from your Members Gallery is that you cannot then remove them from your Gallery until the thread has been archived ( 1 month plus normally ).
Most normally just link the image from a repository on the Web to the relevant thread.

Not sure what browser is being used for all other viewers here of course but if I hold my mouse cursor over Scoey's
pic above, I can either see the address where the photo is, and/or safe the address to the clipboard. then by inserting that address in and then telling the software for the web page that there is some code to follow, it knows where to find t e picture the code being after the '

Thanks all!
You'll know if I got the message when you see a
pic on a post from me.
I've found a photo of 4 members, but I don't know their names. I'll try to find out soon.
I've joined Photobucket - thanks for the info.
That stuff in quotes is now full of meaning!
Fizz.
