will be driving to
Cairns mid April and am a bit undecided what way to go. It's not a holiday trip,am helping number one son to get his and his girls cars to
Cairns.
(transport on truck quotes wereall around $4,000)

Love it ... that is certainly the route I would take.
Umm, you didn't mention what you are driving, this route takes you right through the middle, the
Great Central Road is fine for many 2WD vehicles but perhaps the Ferrari might be a bit low slung !

No we did that way last july. This time we are taking a Hillux ute (not 4x and a Honda Jazz)

Might just do that, by the way, can you recomend a particular area to look for a rental place for them or where not to look.
