Are starting a epic with wife and 3 daughters under 10 year in May 2003 and would love any help of others ..

Heading towards the Cape and then to Darwin.

I have a 2002 Prado with an after market (ARB) suspens kit, new TJM T15 Bar and single rear draw with fridge. We are towing a good 4WD camper trailer and would appreciate any advice available.

See you up there...

Diamond we are leaving Syd and heading to Qld via Cresent Head, Coffs and Byron we expect to take 2 weks to get to Sunshine Coast. We will be taking it very easy for the kids and our own mental state. I wan the kids to really take notice of thekir backyard.

Like Truckster says "Enjoy yourself". Towns and cities can become a bit of a blur after a while but once in a while you find a place you really enjoy, then hang around there a bit longer and soak it up, don't be in too much of a hurry. You can't see all of Oz in 9 mths anyhow, knock off when you have had enough and come back and do a bit more next time. With a few young'ns on board you'll want to take it easy anyhow, give them a breather once in a while.
The national parks in all States are always good value and take time to walk the remote beaches and talk to the locals.
Suck it in, it's a big beautiful country.
Best wishes.Carpe Diem

I think Cocka said it.
You cant see all of aust in 9 mths.

And dont try to.. You will do a Chevie Chase on his way to Wally World...

And miss all the good stuff inbetween.....

take your time, the kids will make sure you do...

You have all emergency comms stuff sorted out? CB/UHF/HF/Satphone/ Epirb ... that sort of thing??

I guess you'll be doing the school thing on the road?

Hmm ... Nine months with four women in the car.....

Is the Prado petrol or diesel? I'm a little disappointed with the petrol Prado pulling my Aussie Swag camper.

Enjoy - I plan to do the same sometime.Russell S
