West Beach Caravan Park just won best Tourist Park in Australia.
Does hold 3,000 people, so if you want a smaller one, I guess
Kingston Park at
Seacliff.
Cheers
Andrew.

Moana is good. 25 minutes south of
Adelaide and a lovely clean beach with vehicle access ($5 per carload - council fee but goes towards local SLSC). Plus water is much cleaner than suburban beaches. Also good acces to McLaren Vale wine region ;)

Brownhill Creek,
Adelaide foothills, close to City, shops - all very accessible. Easy access from South Eastern Freeway without having to travel great distance through city and traffic.
Belair, adjoins National Park, lots of wildlife, golf course, walking, cycling. In
Adelaide Hills a few km south of Brownhill Creek. Very easy access to South Eastern Freeway (main road into
Adelaide from
Melbourne).
Adelaide Caravan Park - Wallkerville. Again, close to City, transport all offering good access to city environs. On the Ring Route (actually slightly off it) so again very easy access if coming in from north or south east.
All of the parks mentioned are very good and within easy travelling to the city centre.
You should be satisfied in any of them.

A few of our friends stayed at the Brownhill Creek C/P last week's Clipsal car race 4 day weekend and loved it.
Also
West beach C/P is great.
Happy camping,

I spent a few night with the kids at BHC park and have to say it has the potential to be fantastic. However..................the European Wasps drove us insane. Millions of them. If they have destroyed the nest it would be close to top of the list for me.

Hi Streeter
I stayed at Brownhill Creek with the family a couple of years ago and loved it.
In fact we liked it so much we stayed there again on our return trip also.
Highly recomended.

I believe that West Beach is now known as
Adelaide Shores. Everyone still calls it West Beach, everyone except the CP management and the Yellow Pages.

Yep -
Adelaide Shores CP is used for a free entry caravan and camping show at some stage of the year (or was). Highly manicured place - each blade of grass has a name it seems - facilities seemed pristine....
the beach is a 2 minute walk..... but maybe just paddle - swimming is seen as risky by many at present - too many
sharks being spotted in the shallows this sumer - for example, a 3m blue shark was paddling in the shallows at
Semaphore just the other day (a few K north).

Mate we had the misfortune to stay at a site called Windsor Gardens in
Adelaide on day one things went missing {water buckets etc} when I caught them {the residents} the saw no wrong in "borrowing " theses items, complained to site Manager who said he'd deal with it and did nothing { because thier his regulars}, I had a guy who's 3 dogs set on
mine, he still did nothing, last straw was a hoon next to us who had his T.V. blaring all night he used to fall asleep with it like that , so finally asked for a refund and left never to go back, where ever you ,go stay away from that one,
it's a pleasure to let you know how bad this place was,
thank you for asking,
regards
Dave
