Ok folks, here is a link to a petition to re-open Hook Point on Fraser Island. If you agree that it should be open, sign and let the pollies know! We might feel that they take no notice, but if we don't do anything about it, they'll get their own way anyway!! At least sign it and do ya bit!!!

PETITION HERE

Cheers

Brian

Hi Brian.
The petition would not accept my postcode for Tweed Heads. It stated a qld postcode was required.

Sadly, it is only available to Queensland residents. I guess those of us who travel from interstate to visit Fraser don't count. Good luck to those who can use the petition.

Hi Brian,

Mate I think that one is on already at post number 43041. Norm ran it earlier.

Still if you get some more to sign then that is a good thing hey?

Have a good one.

Signed by me, but the Hook Point closure is only the start of the major plan by the Government and the resort owners, If they close that part of the beach all traffic will be diverted onto the old sandmining road, then when there are too many accidents and injuries they will close that road too, effectively stopping all 4wd traffic through the bottom end. Then the Resort owned Hervey Bay Barges can put prices up and make it too expensive for private 4wds, that way the resorts get total control of tourism on the Island while they keep the money flowing to the crooked Government Suits. Just my idea but I reckon I am not too far off the mark.
