I had a long test drive of the new common rail Rodeo yesterday, no turbo lag like my current 05 model 3.0 diesel. I would loved to have taken it home but change over price was out of the question. When you drive it you would think it was a V6 as the power is very impressive.

yes mate i agree it seems they are much improved over the previous model
and without wishing to big note - work is buying me one in a 4x4 dual cab auto 3.0 Td and it was ordered this week on 4 to 6 week delivery - quite looking forward to getting it
so i guess my own 3.0 L td gu patrol will not get a lot of use from now on during the week thats for sure and probably not that much on week ends either
see you greg

Hi Greg you will have to tell us how it is when you get your new one and I know you will very happy with it. I will just have to wait a bit longer before I make the change. Max

Not sure which is the best 3.0L yet!!, the navara can tow meteorites, the rodeo can pull stumps out of the ground, mitsubishi climb 90deg slopes, toyo can do anything, & so it goes on.

Hi Axle your right I am sure it will keep the advertising exec's. in big money trying to think up what to come up with next to out do each other . The Rodeo is now 3000 kg and did you notice it pulled the tree out of the ground in China something like when I was a kid my parents said I could dig all the way to China if I tried hard enough. Max

Hey, Maxwell - that was an optical illusion - it didn't really happen...
Jokes aside, check this link
Site Link
This might eventually find its way into the Rodeo as
well. The spec says 550nm for the caddie version, which is 50 more than the VM Motori website spec for that engine.
Here's hoping - hoping it finds its way into Commodore, Hummer, Rodeo That'd give me nightmares as I'd have to have one of each.....
