I typed it in and got to here ..... Did you see the date and location? " Kellick Creek Flash Flood 10th Feb 2007" isn't that NSW? Wasn't that last month? added 12th February.

All that aside it was a facinating piece of video to realise the power of water in a torrent of mud and trees....

That's is unbelievable footage. These guys must be locals and it must happen every time. You can understand why people can get swept off bridges then.

There looks to be a smaller creek at the top of the photo coming down into the same valley but I wouldn't want to have my 4by in the creek as it hit with the bigger stream.

G'day Ray,
very impressive. Have seen something like it once in the Flinders Ranges.
Ray I have taken the liberty to post the link to another forum, hope you don't mind.
Here:
Flash Flood

I think this should work.
Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for that Mike.

Post it wherever you like so more can see it. It's a good reminder to be careful in creek beds.

yeah ok, so that's why they say don't camp in creek beds. I've always heard it happens but seeing it for the first time is something else hey!

Best way to get it is to "right click" on the link and choose "copy shortcut", then past that into a new browser window. Make sure thae 'bracketed A" is deleted off the end. Otherwise you get that "malformed video" message.

David should be able to fix this. It happens all the time. PIA. Strange.

That's pretty impressive!

Can you imagine what something like, say, The Fortescue or The Mighty Fitzroy looks like when it floods!! Thier flood plains are 100s of kilometres wide!!
