That time again where we have to all go and vote wether we like it or not. Just curious as to what would be the best option / party to vote for. CLEARLY it would not be in our best interest to vote for greens as there the ones closing the natinal parks to 4x4 users / campers and such. So who would be best to vote for to ensure national parks stay open for 4 wheel driving?

Ozbloc,
A vote for Libs is no guarantee of the Greens not having the balance of power!!!
A vote for labour is no guarantee of the Greens not having the balance of power!!!
A vote for Outdoor
Recreation is no guarantee of the Greens not having the balance of power!!!
In fact the only way for the Greens to be on the outside, is a resounding victory for ANY other party. As if!!!!
So mate, unless you can control the voting patterns of the
population of NSW, we will have the threat of the Greens balance of power. So lets pray for a party to have a majority in it's own right without Greens preferences.

Thank you Doug, I'll take that attack on me as a compliment. It's interesting that I get mentioned when I'm not even in the thread. I live in a different state and can't even vote in this election!

If I lived in NSW I'd be voting for Fred Nile.
1) no one takes him seriously
2) he has opend a real can o' worms with his moratorium on Muslim Immigration
3) it's about time the christian democrats were made to prove what a bunch of wowers they are
4) during the water crisis Fred can turn the water to wine.
5) his viewpoint on fuel prices is very interesting, did you hear he wants to set up a chain of "Christian" fuel outlets. Presumably muslims, jews, buhddists, hindus and novo castellians could not make a purchase there. I recon us agnostics could do the same...
Then again you could do the responsible thing and refuse to vote for any of them claiming that none of them are worthy of your vote all being petty crims & Arthur Daley types...

A very wise man once said:
"Don't vote for the Bast4rds it only encourages them" &
"The desire to be a politician should be a permanent bar from being one"
the wise man was Billy Connelly.

ACE for the Democrats - he keeps the noise going on issues that matter but without the risk of the extremes of the Greens.

The Outdoor
Recreation Party has a few candidates standing for both houses. Jon Jenkins who was trying to do some good things for us in the Upper House has had to stand down due to ill health.

It's a shame about Dr Jenkins; he seemed to be right in there doing what he could for people that just want to be able enjoy the environment.

'They' have just changed the electoral zones up here so that the Tweed Valley isn't part of the Tweed electorate where there are at least a couple of independents. I am now part of the Lismore area which has only four candidates; Liberal, Labor, Democrats, Nationals. My vote counts, not :-((((((
