I am looking at purchasing a roof top tent for our next trip this year to the Kimberley. Being a tall bugger I am considering a Mr Swagman tent as these appear to the only ones which have a queen size mattress.
I would appreciate any feedback from current owners of these.

Cheers Craig

my son bought one off eBay recently (see post 41833).

Check it out on eBay -

He said it seems the same quality as the brand names, and seems very roomy.

Thanks for that , I would assume that it is made in China? Hence the much cheaper price when compared to our local products! My only concern with the tents on Ebay was the quality.

They way things are these days - you'll probably find the Brand Name was made in China at the same factory! I haven't seen it yet, but son was happy that the quality is the same.

canpin,
I own a Hannibal rooftopper, the open out length is 2400m mine has a width of 1200m but they also come in 1400m & 1600m should be loads of length even for a tall bugger.

Mate you & Sue will never make it after dinner. Stick with the tourer tent as it is safer when you have to go for a slash in the middle of the night.

Also when you roll around trying to sleep the rest of the merry campers will put 1+1 together and come up with 5.

Cheers
