Looks like Wilson St in Kalgoorlie. A few too many at Judds pub and opened it up on the way home I'd say.

A bloke I know in Watheroo has two bits of Ford 351 XD in the front of his farm. Did the same thing one night and his Dad towed the two bits of wreck back with the tractor and put it there so he has to walk around it every time he leaves the house. A 'sobering' thought.

Poor tree.

Damaged bark and all those scratches cant be fixed by any panel beater.

Some accidents leave permanment damage.

Besides the rear end of the ute and 20 schooners, what was going through the drivers mind to take on the tree? Makes you wonder. But i guess, better the tree than one of those big 4WD's!

Hope everyone is okay. PLEASE SLOW DOWN. We will all be dead for a long time. No need to rush there.

As my old man says.."drive like hell and you will get there"

So the story goes.........

SS torn in half @ 150kmh !!
At about 6pm tonight the ute below was travelling down a 50kmh zone @ an eye witness estimate between 150-200.
They have gone through 1 of Kalgoorlie notorious spoon drains and launched into the air , upon bouncing back
to earth something broke and the driver lost control.
They have jumped the curb and launched passenger side on into the tree pictured.
It has literally torn the ute in half , seperating fuel tank , rear firewall , tray , bumpers and tray liner.
In the photo from side on of the cab you can see the fuel tank on the ground between the police.

The owner of the ute is just 18 and hasnt had the car for long , he was not driving his mate was , his age
is unknown , in one of the pics there is a Cougar can on the ground next to the car and witnesses say they
appeared to be drunk.

Initial reports were the owner was out of the ute yelling at his mate 'look what you have done to my ute' , the
driver was laying on the ground in a bad way apparently.
There has been an uncomfirmed report of a 1 death but will comfirm that tomorrow.

Let this be a reminder oncer again that speeding . alcohol and in experience just do not mix !!!

At 18 years old, the driver probably thought he could press the reset button and start again. LOL
