Company will salary sacrifice Pajero :) but not bullbar
2K a lot to pay for 2 years use. Obviously full bar best, but nudge bars (@$600) worthwhile. Might save radiator and immobilsation?

Saw a new Pajero after it hit a roo in the Gawler Ranges, and it made a hell of a mess of the front end. I wouldn't think a nudge bar would have helped much.

Gday,
All depends where you drive mate, if your going somewhere there are likely to be animals on the road buy a bull bar. Its pretty easy to do $2000 worth of damage these days.
Cheers

A nudge bar will be fine if you .......just nudge a roo or any other Animal , but if your really going country then nothing less than a good steel bullbar , not Alloy , Iv'e seen how they can fold too , 2K seems a lot for a bullbar , shop around ,

Why not add the bull bar and sell it when you have to hand back the vehicle. Keep the bumper bar and replace when the time comes.

Front end protection is never adequate with a nudge bar.

Cheers Kev

Everyone has said it. Just cruising around town or the odd weekend camping trip then a nudge bar will be fine. But if going bush then a bull bar is the only way to go. You can get a top quality ARB or TJM bull bar for $1300 or so. Then sell it in a couple of years time and you won't have lost much.

One roo whilst doing 100kmh can cause more than $1500 damage.

You could also buy the nudge bar and get yourself a set of Roo Shoo's which are only $10 from Supercheap. They are a sonic type device that is supposed to scare away Roos and other animals.

Thanks for all the replies which I guess confirmed what I already knew about proper protection but gave some great leads to money saving. What about the ROO Shoo? Any evidence that they work?
