If you have an NS Pajero, you may not be aware that the security alarm system is not activated when it leaves the factory. This is stated on page 1-14 of the manual. Having not been advised of this by the dealer, I was oblivious to this fact until, purely by coincidence, I happened to read it in the manual.
I followed the procedure outlined on page 1-16 and, sure enough, confirmed that the system was not activated.
It is now activated. I contacted the salesman today and he admitted that he too was unaware of this.
It begs the question of what the insurer would say if they found the system was inactive after a break-in.

Garth,
Only a mere $ 1795. At pickup, had to ask the salesman to straighten up rectangular spotlights and put the rego sticker on. I then took it back to have the greasy handprints cleaned off the trim in the cargo area and to have the alloy sidesteps adjusted so that they could actually be used by anyone with a bigger foot than size 2. At 1500 km service, had to get all the trim on the pedestrian friendly steel bar secured before it fell off.
Other than the above, all was good.

Hi
There was a post a week or so ago about pre-delivery and how slack the dealers are and how much you have to pay for pre-delivery, not good enough.
So much get's unchecked .

Regards Scoof.
