Auto and 2.8 CRD FINALLY!!!

Yep they are a strange beast to sit in...all the roof panels can be removed like a targa top when you have the hard top on. The soft top is still there too...just collapsed in the rear still with bows etc all in tack.

The salesman said about the $41K for Auto TD....But no brochures etc yet!

Will be having a ride soon, my partners Dad bought a TD 300C from Waneroo Chrysler and is good friends with the salesman!!

Might be a practical prospect from the old 2door 6cyl!

google for 4 door wrangler. Heaps of reviews out there, especially in the US I think they've been there a while (but they don't get the diesel). I've done a bit of research................

I'll be looking seriously at one off the floor mid year. The entry price is sharp, the diesel is torquey, you get all the abs, ebd, xyz etc trickery included, air is included, live axle coils all round and they look cool. They're about the size of a grand cherokee by all accounts and ride really well compared to the old chariot wranglers.

Only concerns for me is USA reliability :) and a few reports in the US that the hardtop leaks. That's a pet hate for me.

I think the 4 door with sport pack will be the big seller. That pack adds 2.5k to the purchase and you get the lego hardtop, side steps, premium sound (mp3 with a 20g HDD from what I gather, tinted windows and some other bits. Rubicon is good value if you would spend the $ on lockers and stuff anyway but no diesel in Rubicon yet

Despite all the hype it is still only a bl***y jeep.
