G'day Brian,
That is a good price. They usually sell for $1500+ on ebay with auto tune antenna.

very good price - ensure the autotune works properly. I think the 93 means that is the first year they were made so it would be made between 93 and ?? I think HF radios themselves are pretty reliable units working for years (
well barets do anyway) but Auto tunes are a bit more suseptable

Just for your info, in case you keep looking - some folks are still asking up to $2500 for a complete 9323 system (that's one of our VKS737 staff members - also, the www.hfradioclub.com.au sell them).I know of one that sold privately for $2000 18 months back - was bought for $2000 12 months previously.
$900 is obviously suspect in some way - you'd have to be assured that you were not up for costly repairs or parts (or dealing with something "warm" at that price.
Alec Daws 0417566022 was privately dealing in used Codans in recent years - central Vic - may be of interest. In general, Barrett HF models come in at about 25% less (year for year) and have many devotees, re their performance.
