Anyone know the advantage of putting rear leaf springs in the front??

Nah hilux heard from someone to put my old rears in the front, didn't give to much info why thou??

aha sorry i get it now. Those old hilux ride like they have solid suspension. putting rears in the front could only make things worse. Only thing i could think of is the fron are flat and maybe his theory is it will lift the front as the rears are curved

There is no advantage. It's unlikely they would even fit & would only ride rougher if they did. To improve the old sagging Hilux suspension springs were often reset with an additional leaf added giving more body clearance & load carrying capacity, but the only real solution was to replace all the springs & shocks with a set matched to the load carried giving much improved road holding, ride comfort & wheel travel. The early Lux suspension was certainly built down to a price.

This might sound silly
I have read somewhere that you will get more wheel travel and a softer ride,but they remove one leaf also.
But then you will need longer shocks to suit.
You would be better off getting a good set of 2" lift springs and throw the old springs in the recycle bin at the tip. (would`nt even bother trying to sell them)
