Jeez ! I'm so sorry Ross that I have upset your precious feelings & been so disrespectful to other Forum Members. A thousand pardons I request from you for being so careless in allowing myself an opinion to this obnoxious fool's ravings. From memory he had a go at another member who posted a poem which was a tribute to our Digger's. Some how this got up Kovac's nose & he accused the person of " Rednecking " which in turn caused a war of words between him & a lot of readers. He is attempting to start this again by the look of his Post. I honestly thought by now that someone would have put him out of his misery, but it's obvious he has been hiding under a rock somewhere.

Geez I doubt it, it looks like he wants to get in touch with the guy not start a blue.

Actually, what REALLY happened was that the original link of the first post took you to a site that was an "Australia for the Australians" type site. Quite easy to construe it as being racist in some ways. This is what R Kovacs complained about and made the redneck comment about. Doug then re posted with a second link to a poem about our diggers. By this time, everyone started reading and jumped to the conclusion that Kovac was calling the poem reference Rednecked. This was NOT the case but it didn't stop a few people getting really out of hand and making a stack of threats. Also didn't help with fuel being poured on by a few others as well. Just thought it might be prudent to outline WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. Here's to accuracy. Cheers. Mick

Hairy I went and read the post and its benign, nothing untoward, thanx Mick for clarifying, dont see much value in threats of biffo especially when the picture is never clear, Mr Kovac may be forthright but he's nothing more than that.

Must be a pretty ambitious move to denigrate anyone to being a redneck!! Those are seriously insulting words...no matter what the intention!!

So are we to believe the intention here is for Mr Kovacs to make amends?? I dont think so...this sounds like an absolute stirr and opportunity to rub salt into a very passionate and explosive 'old' debate...

Why? What could possible eventuate...even the recent post stinks of insult!!
