Hi All
Has anyone out there had to do with the new I blue bluetooth GPS, advertised in the last issue of explorOz news letter. They seem very cheep at $150.00 & $196.00. Do they compare with the more expensive range? or is there a catch !!!!

BC,

The "catch" is, they are GPS Receivers only and need to be coupled to a PDA or Laptop to input signals to the various software applications running on them.

In other words they are no good as a stand-alone unit such as the Magellan Explorist and Garmin Etrex etc. which have built-in maps.

Otherwise, they are accurate and reliable.

That sounds exactly like what I think I need.
I have an axim pda and saw those iblues here and thought that with the oziexplorer pack for the pc and pda, it would be a good solution.
I then saw the premium natmaps pack and together they look like the bee knees.

Would I be right in that assumption? Basically I would assume I need (or want)
the iblue for $196, the Oziexplorer CD pack $200 and the Natmap 2005 DVD Premium for $119
All up for $515 I would get all maps & gps to hook up to the pda. All I would ever need!! (except for a cradle). + membership here.

Hmmmmm. I better get SWMBO happy first.

you could even go the cheaper iblue, but thats the arrangement I have for the Ipaq and its great, get a decent cradle with a string mount like the RAM mount I have tried three and they are all left wanting too much flex and movement.
