camping near gatton

Hi Everyone!
On Easter Monday our daughter is going to attend a course at Gatton university and we are going to take her up and wait around for her 5 days after any suggestions on a good place to camp we are self sufficient and not real keen on being crowded in, I loaned my Camps australia book and cant remember who to so ama bit lost. Thanks in advance barbara

Heifer Creek, Rest Area 41K SW of Gatton or 25K NE of New England Highway. On Clifton - Gatton Rd beside creek. Toilets/Wheelchair Access/Shde/Picnic Tables/Fireplace/Big Rig/48 hrs max stay/dogs allowed

Both places are ok with the Heifer Creek one a bit nicer in my opinion but Lake Dyer is a lot closer to Gatton College if that matters.

thanks for the info greatly appreciate it , it doesnt matter which one is closer will be dropping her off and collecting her 4 days later, she is just checking out ag science degree and careers in the ag business as we have taken her camping too many times and doesnt want to work in the city barb

Another very quite park is Glen Rock about 60 k south of Gatton through East Haldon. only has 9 sites but each is very large, facilities include showers & toilets (composting). Very dry recently so no water in the creek. You need to book on linr on Qld Parks
