posted question earlier on about towing a c/van on the
oodnadatta track.have changed it for an off-road van how much easier will it be ?

As easy as towing a normal van.
Its not the towing that is the problem but rather the build of the van
The
Oodnadatta Track is a big wide gravel road(maybe it was a track in the 1800's). You will encounter gravel, stones, sand, corrugations, bulldust patches and smooth sections.
Keep your tyre pressures low on the tow vehicle and the van, and drive according to road conditions.

Yeh it was still a track in 1966/7/8/9 , just 2 wheel tracks in most parts
