Looks like the mobile phone engineers are becoming older ! There should be a huge market for them.

Mike
I'm 52 and it seems every time I upgrade my mobile the bloody buttons are smaller along with the text on them. I can see these type of things being a BIG thing for the elderly in time to come.
A lot of my work is associated with Nursing Homes. The elderly in NHomes at the moment are NOT savvy with mobile phones. However the
services that go into a new NHome has changed rapidly over the last 5+ years. Most now have data outlets in each room for Internet. This is to cater for the not too far away baby boomers. There will be heaps of things like this coming along soon such as this i feel.
The music played in NHomes is the 30s/40s & 50s. One of our techs reckons the days he starts to hear the Rolling Stones being played he knows his time in a home is not far away :-)

I always remember my first mobile phone. It was what was known as a bag phone.
As you can guess, it was in a bag and had two 12v batteries. The hand piece was the size of a normal phone and it had quite a loud ring and storage capacity. Sometimes I wished that I still had it. I sold it to a fisherman up north who told me that he disconnect the aerial and run a cable to the top of his mast and put the aerial up there.
It was just a plain old mobile phone no gimmicks and only good for telephone calls

For the 50+ generation, what kind of 50yr old would use a ph like that, more like 70+
