Hi all,
So far it has been a great season here in the SI of NZ with some very large fish being landed however all good things come to an end and the weather the last week has just about brought the season to an end for us, we have been here now since the middle of September and will now move up the South Island and take the ferry to the North Island to catch the spawning runs of Taupo & Rotorua so its pack up time and hit the road again, it is always great to get on the move and find fresh rivers to fish along the way, but sad to leave the deep south but will be back again next season.

Hi yeah know him
well were are on his network
HF radio that is last time i saw him wasn Murchison we were
camp up there and fishing he as you say was leading a group of 4x4 on a trip. He was telling me that just prior to that he was down near Mt
Cook and did the route up to the new hut "in the winter " of course and had to be winched back off a drop in the track used his radio to call up a mate said his heart was in his mouth. Was going to catch up with him in Graymouth this season however we are now going to get to the North as quick as we can for the spawning runs we still have to wait for some breaks to arrive before we can leave very cold and wet here at the moment.
Regards

Footloose,
Malcolm may have to put his mask and
snorkel on first, they had about 200 mm rain last week and Westport had a lot of flooding !

Actually a little dampness won't hurt him, he's a rather dry character :-))

Malcolm "dry" ? He's still wet behind the ears ...I've already told him to bring a smile when he comes...do you think that's possible ?

No smile no ride :))) Early July we'll be there, around the 1st and second. If one of us is smiling and the other one isn't, I guess we'll be easy to spot

What I should have said was if one of us is looking old and decrepit, and the other looking a bit sheepish :)))))))
