i just bought a 92 hilux and was wondering what temp these should run at,
mine sits at about half way on the standard gauge and doesn't go over that. i just don't wanna have to rip the radiator out and flush and replace coolant if i don't have to. it's a 2.8 diesel

You made 2 posts so I'll answer 2 ,
remember Luke that not all overheating problems should be blamed on the Radiator, there some other things to look for before taking the radiator out, like blocked with insects or grass seeds, faulty Thermostat, loose fan belt, faulty fan clutch if it's like the Landcruiser fan, or it's leaking water somewhere/

My'n or should I say old one, use to sit about 2 mill under the half mark and never moved from that spot except once which was working it hard in the high country loaded to the hilt pulling up some steep hills but still only went just over half nothing serious.
Check out the viscous coupling they do stuff up. Myn was replaced at about 280k. Use only genuine if you do, more expensive but guaranteed to work when required. Could have sold you a good one still for sale actually. Regards steve M
