Hi all
We are thinking of travelling to the
big desert national park and surroundings and
border track, has anyone been recently and know the track conditions, we are after some challenging sand dunes!!!

I believe the
Border track is closed until April 30 when the fire season finishes. Thompsons
Lookout on the Cactus
Bore Track is/was challenging last time I was there, or Big Dune just north of The Brushcutters Track is good as
well.

Don't forget to let your tyres right down on those sand dunes, 15 - 18 psi is the norm, but you can go down to 8-10 in a pinch, but don't turn a corner in a hurry at those kinda low pressures
Cheers

Oops left out the "Test Hill" on side of main road 54H 0525621 6075562
The above and some others make up more fun than the
Border track.
