I'm interested to hear if you can get a camber adjustment kit for the 120 Prado.
Mine is scrubbing the outside edge of the front tyres since I've fitted raised springs, about a 3inch lift. The bloke at the local tyre
shop says that he can't adjust the camber on the 120. I've checked the lcool site for 120's but havn't found anything for camber adjustment.
If camber kits aren't avaiable for the 120, I guess I will have to settle for rotating the tyres and getting what I can out of the tyres. Cheers Anthony (Vic)

Suggest you try ARB, they fitted a kit to my 80 series L/C.

Thanks Pedro,
I'll give them a call in the morning. I didn't think of ARB for a caster adjustment. Even though,
the springs and shocks that I had fitted are ARB OME, which my local 4by guy fitted for me.

If you are still got the standard Grandtrecks on - this is a problem with the
tyres and wheel alignment.... Do a proper wheel alingment first and then
replace Grandtrecks...

Thanks LC_120man,
Yes, I have the original Grandtrek AT20's on (its a GX so they are 225/70's). I will shortly be replacing the Grandteks with Cooper 245/70-17 STT's on 17 by 8 rims but was holding off until if fixed what I thought was a camber adjustment problem.
With the wheel alignment, do you use the standard Toyota spec's for the alignment or do you run a different spec's ?
The reason for the 245's is they are 780mm dia and keep the tyres legal, plus the max tyre diameter the manufacturer recommends on my camper trailer is also 780mm.
Thanks - Anthony (Vic)

Anthony,
Toyota has recently (this month) changed the wheel alingment specs for 120 series
because of tyre edge rubbing issue. So you can try to get them to do the
wheel alignment to the new specs.
If you are not far from
Geelong then I would give Darren at www.atsgeelong.com.au a call. He is a
suspension Guru for the Prados...
This has been covered to death on www.lcool.org
and pradopoint.com forums.

Dont know about the 120 but have been informed that the 90 series this is a common problem standard, scuffing of outer edges of tyres, my commodore was just as bad. Regards steve M

My prado yes does indeed have these fitted, they are only the second lot of tyres but the original owner has fitted the same tyres again so yep maybe its a grandtrek problem. Anyway wont be long and Ill have some muddies fitted to a second set of rims for the 90. The commodore actually had bridgestones fitted, $340 per tyre 17 inch high performance tyres, glad I dont have to buy another set of them again only lasted 30k per set. Bald on the outer edges on the front due to scuffing and I think the way the wife through it round the bends where we live, and the rear were bald on the inside rears due to it been lowered nearly 3 inches and IRS set up on the rear. No camber adjustments could be made and there was always 50% tread left in the middle of front and rear. The new toyota she has 15 inch on it so should be looking at around the $120 mark per tyre thank god. Have no idea what the bfg muddies are going to cost me for the prado 16 inch.Regards steve M
