Chambers Pillar on a map its 188kms i done the
Alice Springs road to Chambers a few years ago so i know what to look out for from Maryvale to Chambers but i thinking the road from Finke to Maryvale is more of a track than a road has anyone being on it lately im planning a holiday out there early May

The Finke railwayline access track was last graded before 1980
Should take you about 5 hours as there are many 'bumps' to contend with. First obstacle is the
Finke River. About 200metres of soft sand. See a few get bogged there.
The Finke Desert Racers fly along that track at 200kmh but if you land in the wrong spot you are history.
Its the sort of journey you take once only unless you are a glutton for punishment.
Enjoy
