You may recall the "Scroogemobile", sub $5k DIY C/t.
Well, on the weekend old
shearer mate & I were just finalising a few jobs in preparation for imminent
Kimberley Kaper. Old mate was welding up a lovely little holder for the bulk bundy
dispenser & I was lighting the forge in readiness to square taper some tent pegs.
Our attention was drawn to this black smoke emanating from rear of C/t, this proved to be our rubber backed marine carpet burning in a perfect circle
from where old mates welder had set it alight from the outside. New fire extingy
thing worked just great. A couple of tips....Handy Hints for C/ts number 307....
Be careful when welding outside what happens inside. And you had better note
Handy Hint number 308 as
well...dont leave extinguisher on bottom of pile of stuff
waiting to be packed, better on top.....oldbaz.

Hey Baz,
At least you had the sense to find out what was causing the smoke and then had the knowall to use the extinguisher. Gives a bit a heart start when things like this happen - makes you realise we are all accidents waiting to happen.
Cheers

Yes indeed
John, had visions of C/t going up in flames 14 days before maiden
voyage !!. Very unsettling, had to have a wee calming bundy.....oldbaz.
