hi, i have an old late 70's early 80's murrumba star van that looks like a UFO. Im looking for anyone who has one or an interest in them. would love to talk to anyone who may have restored one or got any good ideas about restoring one

Hi there.. I know your van.
You may find that it is older than you think.
It is more likely to be late 60s.
Murrumba Star were built at Caboolture in Qld and were very revolutionery in their day. They also made the same unit without wheels to fit in the back of a ute.
The type you have was on display at the
Brisbane show on the back of a mini. Don't know how it would have pulled it though.
Post some pictures.. love to see it.

i would post some pics on here but i really dont know how to do it.
i have got some pics
yeah i knew they were made in caboolture and then taken over by glendale?
on the plate is has date of manufacture 1981 but i thought they were older than that too
ill have a play and see if i can post some pics
