With the NSW election on this weekend and if you are like me don't know of anyone worthy of receiving my vote, I stumbled upon the ORP. Are we in favor of them being "our voice" or shouldn't I bother? I notice their website hasn't been updated in a while!

Listened to one of their spokesman yesterday on the way home from Tantangra, They are in favour of building a dam on the Colo, That just cost them my vote.
On a sad note to many idiots now have acess to a 4wd, after watching their antics around the dam which is part of a national
Park I just turned a bit greener.
Cheers Pete

Richard Hi
It was a Dr Jenkins, He dids not mention the Colo by name, just that they would build a new dam on an unexploited river.
The Grose is to polluted so thst only leaves the Colo.
In my opinion they are the looney right, the more I listened to him the more turned off I become. We can no longer have access to every where we want to go because thewir are now to many of us, plus the idiot element now has access to 4wds that they were not interested in twenty years ago
They also claim to represent fishermen(do away with licences) (open slather appoach). Every thinking fisher and angling club has rejected them
Cheers pete

Our 4WD Club has supported them for a number of years even though we are not in the same state. They have done a lot of work in the past fighting the greens in closing down National Parks and other issues.
I'd give them a tick.

I have seen Jon Jenkins at our 4WD club, he used to realy get up the greens noses & would definitely give him the tick, sadly I believe he is leaving due to ill health but the ORP does still appear to be following in his steps so I for one will be giving them my first vote

They (ORP) have only 3 members up for election in the lower house.
But by ticking 1 for them in the upper house we will (Shooters, horse riders, 4WD's and bike riders parties ) still have a voice in paliament.
Shooters, horse riders, 4WD's and bike riders parties, will all benifit as they all support each other in this election as the goals are nearly all the same.
I wish them
well as they are not "loonies" as some folk from other states seem to think they may be. In fact they have already done a lot for our cause in NSW.

Our cause?????
What cause??
We are a selfish lot who want to burn up fossil fuels a plenty and litter the world with our toxic gases and rubbish, degrade the envorinment and produce no more than bottom line dollars for oil companies and the ever greedy automotive industry.
Its not a cause, its a passtime.
The more people getting out there, the more closures you will have. In some
places the environment just can't take the sustained hammering from vehicle access including motorbikes and horses.
Twenty years down the track and the world as we know it in 4x4 terms, may not exist.
Cheers

No, never have a bad day.
Just a different point of view.
You cannot describe a hobby as a cause.
You mark my words about what lies ahead. The dreaded 4x4 tax is being imposed in the UK. We follow meekly what others do o'seas.
So if you want to see things for yourself you had better not waste time and get out there.
Cheers

If you go to the web site that is exactly how he explained his party & their objectives to our club.
We are losing out to the greens because of preference voting & minority environmental groups. All you NSW 4WD'ers need to stand up & be counted if you wish to continue enjoying this country of ours.
Like Jon Jenkins states the wilderness areas are being cut off to all but the fanatical bush walker, what about people who can't do this. I have a mate who has no way of getting to see the beauty of this type of country as he is wheel chair bound, I have taken him to some very beautiful country previously but now these areas are closed so he can no longer enjoy this. I wonder what our greens would do if they where wheel chair bound & could no longer get access to these areas ????
