Just returned from a week at Tantangra which was fantastic, the area is recovering from fire damage this year.
But why do people build a nest of rocks light a huge fire, then dispose of all their rubbish into the fire. Do they really think they are doing the right thing or maybe they just dont care.
The ones hooning arround in 4wds doing donuts etc seem to be the worst offenders. these same idiots usually get bogged in the swampy gullys and expect you to retrieve them.
I now pretend to own no recovery gear but will extract them if they have any. In thirty years of visiting this area I have never needed help to extract my vehicle
Cheers Pete

Why extract them, it only encourages them to further acts of stupidity.

I agree Gramps, best if you can stop em breeding too isn't it? Haven't seen Truckster say lately to eradicate em from the gene
pool. Used to be a common thread;-)

LOL JohnR you read my mind. I was waiting for someone to say they had to do it because there were kids involved. That would only make my point more relevant hahahaha

Ahh, Gramps, it is sometimes better to give another the credit (or othwise) for ideas. Not to say that I could possibly agree of course ;-)

They also turn up wanting help just as the afternoon rise has started, When you only have a week and you have been waiting all year to get down their.
Mind you the worst ones never have recovery gear, I just smile and say sorry I dont plan on getting bogged so I dont carry any either, Hope its not to cold tonight.
But if they have kids You have to help
