Hi
I have bought a few things from 12volt
shop - including my EU10 Honda Generator. On all occasions, I have found their products reasonable, and their service absolute rubbish - obnoxious, arrogant and off-hand. Perhaps
Perth needs a bit of a shake up so that people don't take customers for granted.
I have spoken to a number of people who feel the same.
I had some good service (albeit a simple auxilary battery) from Challenger Batteries in Osborne Park and I understand they are now doing the full solar setups. Met someone on our travels who had his caravan kitted out by them and was very happy.
I hope you find what you are after.
Cheers
Alan

So I'm not the only one who thinks that their (12 Volt
Shop) service is crap?
I've spent some serious dough there and you still get the feeling that the world would be a better place without customers.

Yes I just hired some solar panels for the last few weeks from the 12V
shop that is a good way to try out what will work for you.
I tend to agree about the grumpy old service however, I have got to give some credit as they do have a
young guy there now who was trying hard to be helpful.
Alan, I will also have a look at Challenger, that saves me the hour drive down to Welshpool.
Cheers
Geordie

Hi, Don't know if Challenge Batteries will have what you want but their service is second to none.
Joe.

Hi,
Try Solar Sales in Belgravia St. Belmont, at about No.69, not far from Great Eastern Hwy. They have moved there fairly recently, they were in Kewdale Rd.
Cheers, Jerry

Go to all the
places mentioned and get THEIR advice
before you make any decision at all
Ask to see the SHARP & SunPower range of solar panels.
"Compare" the AMP output with the size and VOLTAGE output.
the largest amps output per watt is the winner...
If your told one panel is better than another, ask the guy to explain to you why it is and show you the "technical" numbers to support his claim, you will find if they don't sell a particular brand they will rubbish it and push their own products.
Ask the important question "what is the most EFFICIENT solar panel they sell"
If you want to use a solar panel in the shade - buy a Honda genny!!!!
They are meant to be in the sun lol

Hi Gerry
I agree with the guys. I wont on principle give the 12v
shop 1cent of my money. I bought most of my solar stuff from solar sales in Belmont. They asked where I got my Kyoceras from and at what price. When I told them their reaction surprised me. They said they are a very good panel.
As for gennies....cheap chinese crap is exactly that. My wife works for Bunnings and the amount of gmc's they get back would astound you.
If you must buy a cheapy buy a Kippor, but you only get what you pay for. I would be looking at Yamaha or Honda. Keep in mind that a lot of people are dead against gennies. And you cant use them in National Parks.

"Keep in mind that a lot of people are dead against gennies."
You are so right ozdragon. Last year we spent a week at 40 mile beach near
Karratha. This place is so popular that people go there at the start of the "season", claim a spot and stay there for months.
All of these people have solar panels, as do we, and so the place is lovely and quiet. One day a couple of unfortunates pulled up with a caravan, unloaded the gennie and proceeded to fire it up. Fair dinkum, about 15 people came from all directions to give them a serve about it!
These people didn't have solar so the didn't have a lot of choice, but after that, they only ran the gennie in the middle of the day while all the others were our fishing.

If you can get it anywhere else ,forget the 12 volt
shop---the worst service and high prices.Iwas in there today to get an adapter cable and the guy on the front ounter was too busy eating his lunch at the computer to be bothered to give me the help I needed.I eventually bought a plug at twice the price that my electrician friend could have done.I don't like bagging a business but it is time they woke up and gave the public the service that they charge for.
