Hi. I have a question.
We have a 2005 Pajero DID. We need new tyres and have used the original ones that it came with since new, however they need replacing.
We would like tyres that are longl asting, are good 'on road' and for sand. We dont do a lot of rough 4 wheel driving but some dirt tracks.
Any suggestions?

If you after AT's in LT construction - BFG's are the only choice for the 265/70/16. Non-AT tyres are a number of brands - Michies are not cheap but would last a long time.

I'll second that. I ran BFG's in exactly the same size on my Paj. Wore out three sets in 117,000 k's, but if you saw the terrain I drive on, you'd think this mileage was excellent too! Never lost a single tyre - wore them all out. I've never used the jack (only found out where it was today, while I was cleaning the Paj out to sell it! True story!)

I've got a Nissan Navara Dual cab 2002. Done 121000km since new. Got Bridgestone Dueller HTs on it. Original Jap fit. Tyres about stuffed now. Exellent on road tyre, so so off road, OK on dirt tracks 255/70-16s

265x75 tyres will fit and open the door for the widest selection of good off road tyres

Use the 267/75/16's. Will give you a slight lift and many more choices.

FWIW I run Cooper AT's, soon to switch to ATR's

Many Paj's have a 10% speedo error and having larger diameter tyres such as the 265/75R16's correct the error quite a bit.

The problem is, I found that they rubbed when on full lock and reversing. The 265/70R16's didn't. That said, I had a steel ARB winch bar and a Magnum 9000lb winch fitted that may have been compressing the springs just enough for the rubbing to happen.
