Rob, I guess it might have something to do with the fact that Toyota want to be No.1 manufacturer, and your in a country of 200 million odd car crazy yanks.
I guess Toyota are just trying to cover all bases to use a yanky phrase.

Dave

I think Toyota is Number 2 in the world at the moment, just under General Motors.
They could even be Number 1 in the states . Toyotas are everywhere over here.

Driving around in a Tundra V8. We need these is Aus, but in the turbo V8 Diesel

Rob, why don't you drop Toyota a line suggesting that?

Tell them that you would gladly evaluate it for them in Aussie conditions.

Toyota have been number 1 for a few years now in terms of car sales. I believe GM is the biggest company in the world financially.

However, Toyota don't seem to have to sack 10000 employees at a time either like GM is doing.

I have a 70's series v8 turbo diesel wagon out the front. Its a fantastic motor. It takes a big breath between gear changes via the snorkel. The 100 series will have this motor installed later in the year.

I just had a quick look around that website. Some of the features on the Tacoma are pretty good, don't seem much like that here in Oz.

Seems we are getting the short end of the stick? And I'll bet its not just from Toyota!!!
