With the Barrett 550, how do i set my set for my Selcall ID ? The manual tell how to send 7 receive Selcalls but not how to set it up. Do I need to take the unit to a Tech ?

Vince,
Short answer, yes. Take it to a tech and have them do it for you.

No - you should be able to do that in the 'protected menu' - that's what I do in my 950 setup.
Press and hold the menu button......when you get the prompt.......
Enter the factory login 1 2 3 4
Once in, scroll through the settable parameters using the up or down channel buttons (1 and 4). Look for the selcall ID section.
You might have 2 selcall ID's to set - make them the same, if so - at some later stage if using radphone, the second one comes into play and could be changed then.
See how you go............any snags.............you're welcome to email

There you go. Maybe I should have said, 'if you are as useless at these things as I am, then take it to a techo'.
Darian, is it the same set up on the 550?
Matt.

I've only owned a 950 - not the 550 - but highly likely its the same setup.

Hi,
The 550 only has provision of 1 selcall.
I had one before the 950, which was before the Icom, so I'm a bit rusty on it, but basically what Darrien said is right.
Cheers
David

The Autotune work
well but I am haveing BIG problems keeping the base fitted tightly to the bull bar, Every time I go near rough roads it becomes loose, so have removed at this time. I will look at a mounting bracket for the rear when I have the time.

with a 250 you pull the case apart (reel easy) and set the 4 dial to your deisred selcal) any one that passed lego 101 can do it
