Hi Doug
Luv the Citreon's looks & style. With 6 tyres I would probably struggle to pay for the rubber ;-)

Six wheels? I can't believe any one in Australia will even give that a second glance. Yes it looks cool until you think of the practicalities. The tray isn't even big enough for a good size esky, never mind the fishing gear.
I love the company blurb "features three axles and six wheels to provide outstanding traction to tackle even the harshest of off-road conditions" yeah maybe if you live in the city and your harshest obstacle is the kids sand pit. The clearance alone in that thing means it is not functional in "extreme off-road conditions." They really have no idea.

Good call Doug, I had a look at the sight you linked and yes I will concede it may be bigger than I first thought, but I still stand by my statement.

You must get around with your eyes shut, Or you have a patch over one eye, 6 wheelers have been around for a few years , although not a true 6WD , here is your unintelligent quote !! [[The clearance alone in that thing means it is not functional in "extreme off-road conditions." They really have no idea.]] Odd statement from someone who has only seen a photo, the vehicle has probably by now traversed the Sahara Desert as planned , you gonna tell me that's not "extreme off-road conditions."
I really don't have the patience to communicate with people who have no idea and can't see past the end of the nose

Ok, I'm in for a little healthy debate, but if you need to resort personal attacks then maybe you're not.
Yes, you may say I am one eyed I do have a soft spot for Toyota and yes I will most times back them over anything else. That is because I have been there and seen guys in their crappy little toy 4x4's break down and cry when their state of the art toasters can't do what a basic run of the mill Toyota can do with its eyes closed (or a patch).
In the interest of healthy debate compare the two pictures. A landcruiser the ultimate weapon: The history and heritage that built a country. A manufacturer that knows how to build a rugged car that can handle most conditions. Just take a look what you are comparing it to. I believe you have defeated your own argument when talking about the clearance. You have had to resort to a picture of a real 6 wheeler that can do the job. Can you see from the picture how much clearance and articulation that Citroen will have (or more likely won't have). The LC you pictured doesn't even have mud guards to allow for the awesome wheel travel.
By Citroen's own admission this crappy looking orange M&M is "based on Citroen's first ever SUV." Doesn't give me much hope in them getting it right.
Usually when a company shows a prototype they show it beefed up far beyond what it is going to be. If this orange M&M is tarred by the same brush then it will come off the production line at Ryton in the West Midlands looking like a Citroen C2 with haemorrhoids. (And yes I know about Citroen's awesome Rally history...rally not 4x4)

Yes you may be right, it may be a real killer of a machine but just look at the pics they don't do it justice if it is. The departure angle is great but look at the approach. You may be onto something, and I may be totally wrong, I will cop it if I am. I just think that if you have so much faith in this orange M&M then you should maybe pre order one.
After seeing your rig profile, I can see that you are really just arguing for the sake of arguing, you already have the package and I can't see why someone with a rig like that would be defending a candy cane vehicle such as this.

Your a total bird brain if ever there was one, you make false statements,

1 A landcruiser the ultimate weapon: The history and heritage that built a country.
A / Len Beadell used Land Rovers

2 You have had to resort to a picture of a real 6 wheeler that can do the job.
A / The photo was used as an example that we do have 6 wheelers in Oz, that was not a 6WD. I could have used a Nissan or Land Rover.

3 Just take a look what you are comparing it to.
A / I didn't compare it to anything , I just posted a photo and the story so ...some might learn something, your beyond help.

4 Your the most ill informed as they come, not the slightest bit of forsight. and your comments are full of crap and childish thoughts of M&Ms , why don't you go and suck on hand full , or get a life and fork $50 and become a member and return here and give some sensible input, ...

Hi,

The 4 wheel C-Crosser is a re-badged Outlander (as is the Peugeot 4007). The 6-wheeler is a concept car, don't think we'd ever see it.

Cheers,
Alastair

Hi All

If Peugeot used the motor from their 407 coup diesel and put that in the Mitsubishi crossover whatever then you would have a fun toy.

Have fun
