Hi,
We are looking to travel to
Brisbane to
Birdsville & up to
Bedourie & back to
Brisbane in June this year. We have an off-road Jayco Freedom Expanda that we want to travel in. Has anyone else done a similar trip in this van? Did it handle it OK?

Hi you should have no problem with this trip at all. Couple of tips - make sure you have two spares tryes for the van as
well as the vehicle. Also if you have water tanks i.n the van - take a spare set of elbows in case stones hit under (they do!). It's a nice time to be visiting and there wilol be lots of
wildflowers along the roadways. As soon as you hit the dirt, lower your tyre pressures all around, van as
well, to give some resistance o the gibber. Have a good trip - see you around out there

Hi Ian and Pat - no physically there at the moment but will be as soon as the new V8 ute gets here. It arrives on
Brisbane dock today and the altered tray & canopy are all being built as we speak. Will be leaving for
Birdsville last week of May - with little fishing side trips, of course. Love from us - see you soon.

You should have no trouble, as Ruth said lower all tyre pressures and take it easy.
Whatever you do do not miss the
Birdsville Museum.
